ALLEN DE LOACH - Publisher of Intrepid Press
'In the 1950s and early 1960s, De Loach lived on the Lower East Side of New York City, where he associated with hundreds of writers and poets, including Allen Ginsberg. He later remembered many of them in a book titled "The East Side Scene." During that period, he helped usher in the beat movement in poetry and literature. As a writer, editor and publisher, he published about 40 books of poetry, prose, journals, anthologies and photographs.'
